Colchagua Coast Valley
This is a zone of little winemaking history, but with an enormous potential, given by the quality of the wines produced, such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Merlot. This area has been a revelation for Colchagua; the valley has been known by its great red wine production, and now it presents great representatives of cold weather wines, having the highest quality supply to offer in Chile, and consolidating its position in the valley hierarchy as the biggest wine producer and promoter of wine tourism. Due to difficulties in irrigation, there are few producers in Colchagua Coast. Within its characteristics we can see a clear sea influence, with cool breeze during summer that keeps the average day temperature at around 25°C, and night temperature at around 8°C, creating a strong thermal oscillation.
